Matthew Zarzeczny

Although born at Fort Belvoir Army Hospital in Quantico, Virginia, Matthew lived most of his life in Parma, Ohio. Parma is the largest suburb of Cleveland. More recently, he moved to Ashland, the self-proclaimed “World Headquarters of Nice People”! Matthew graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in French and History from Baldwin-Wallace College in 2002. At B.W., Matthew minored in political science and served as secretary and then president of the French Club. He went on to earn a Master's in History at Kent State University in 2004. A fellow of the International Napoleonic Society and a member of various other historical organizations, Matthew has won contests with, read on the radio, presented at conferences, and published in newspapers and other forms of print articles, letters, poems, and short stories. He is currently studying The Roman Empire and European History from 1600 to 1945, with an emphasis on Napoleonic France.
