The History Major at Ohio State offers students an opportunity for advanced study across the spectrum of time and in different geographical areas. The History Major includes a focus on one geographical area, and distribution requirements with the selection of courses dealing with the human experience both before and after 1750, as well as distribution of courses in different geographical areas. For instance, all history majors will enroll in courses that deal with the varieties of human experience in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
The Ohio State University Alumni who have majored in History served business, government agencies, and schools. They have successfully enrolled in professional schools, especially law schools, but also in medical schools, as well as other professional schools for business and public administration.
Effective in winter quarter 2011, The Division of the Arts and Humanities will no longer allow students to add a course after the second week of the quarter. There will be no exceptions. See attached pdf for more information.
