Cory Patton

Congratulations to History PhD Candidate Cody Patton who has been awarded an H.B. du Pont Fellowship! Cody Patton's research examines the environmental and business history of the American brewing industry. By exploring beer’s primary ingredients—yeast, hops, and barley—he interrogates the brewing industry for lessons regarding corporations’ impacts on American agriculture, the relationships between local and national firms, and corporate environmental sustainability. Cody's dissertation title is, "Nature's Brew: An Environmental History of American Brewing." His advisor is Prof. Bart Elmore.
