Mason Watson PhD
Mason Watson successfully defended his dissertation, “British Generalship and Strategy on the Western Front: Criticism and Controversy, 1916-1939,” on 24 November. His committee members were Jennifer Siegel (advisor), Peter Mansoor, & Christopher Otter. He accepted a position as an official historian at the U.S. Army Center of Military History in March 2021. Mason had served as a GRA there in 2017/2018, and worked there as an intern from 2018 to 2021. He is currently completing a short history of U.S. Army’s role in the conflict with the Islamic State. Congratulations to Mason on all of his achievements.
