Alyssa Kotva

Graduate Student
Alyssa Van Haitsma Kotva is a doctoral student in Ancient History at The Ohio State University. Her advisor is Dr. Kristina Sessa. She is broadly interested in the social and cultural history of the late antique Mediterranean, and specifically interested in identities, borders, and their complications and manifestations at the frontier of the Roman Empire. A potential dissertation topic might involve a social history of the late Roman army.
