The History Department offers a number of courses that focus on the law and criminal justice. They include the Criminal Justice History of the United States (History 2015), The United States Constitution and American Society (History 3005 and 3006), Solving Crime in Medieval Europe (History 3232), Religion and Law in Comparative Perspective (History 3680), and two research seminars in American Legal History (History 4010 and 4015H). The department also offers a range of courses (listed below) which pay close attention to the history of the law and/or criminal justice.
