Scott Levi is currently in the final weeks of a fellowship year at the Institute for Advanced Study in Nantes, France. He has used this time to complete work on his forthcoming book manuscript, The Rise and Fall of Khoqand, 1709–1876: Central Asia in the Global Age, which will come out this fall in the Central Eurasia in Context series at Pittsburgh University Press. His time at the Institute has been very rewarding in other ways as well. Here he is pictured preparing to introduce Atul Dodiya, one of India's most renowned contemporary artists.
