Join us for the opening of a new exhibit honoring Dr. Helen G. Edmonds, the first Black woman to earn a PhD in History from The Ohio State University in 1946. Celebrating the 80th anniversary of this historic achievement, the exhibit highlights Edmonds’ groundbreaking scholarship, leadership, and lasting impact on education and public history. Presented in collaboration with the African American & African Studies Community Extension Center and the Department of African American and African Studies.
