The Environmental History Initiative is hosting the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) 2026!
The Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) USA is the official, United Nations-endorsed national youth conference on climate. It is a youth-led, youth-organized, weekend long conference which brings together over 100 youth delegates from across the country— carefully selected for their leadership in the climate movement— to learn, network, collaborate, and write the National Youth Statement on climate. The NYS informs the Global Youth Statement (GYS) which is presented at the United Nations Conference of Parties (COP) to influence international climate negotiations.
