Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Our Combined BA/MA Dual Degree Program in History

books, two paper degrees and a graduation cap

The Department of History welcomes applications to our redesigned BA/MA Dual Degree Program in History, open to any field of history. The department offers the program for undergraduate History majors with outstanding academic records to encourage them to start graduate study before completing their undergraduate degree. Enrolling in the combined BA/MA program can shorten the total time to get both bachelor's and master's degrees.

This BA/MA Dual Degree Program is ideal for students who seek a step toward doctoral (Ph.D.) research or a terminal (stand-alone) degree in preparation for a variety of other fields, such as archives administration, museum scholarship and exhibitions, public history, primary or secondary school teaching, law, or international relations.
