HISTORY 2271: Happiness in History and Practice
This class uses the framework of the history of emotions to examine the intellectual history of the emotion of happiness in Europe from Ancient Greece to the present, particularly the ways it emerged, evolved, and impacted various historical societies, as well as its indications of social diversity.
