Examines the major issues that have shaped the human experience of various regions since 1500 C.E. through comparative study of civilizations within the context of religion, trade, technology, art, culture, industrialism, imperialism, revolution, and gender relations.
Prereq or concur: English 1110.xx, or completion of GE Foundation Writing and Information Literacy course, or permission of instructor. Not open to students with credit for 1682. GE historical study and global diversity studies course. GE foundation historical and cultural studies course.
