HISTORY 3250: Subjects to Citizens: A History of Revolutionary and Napoleonic Europe

A history of Revolutionary and Napoleonic Europe from the crisis of the Old Regime and the French Revolution to the end of the Napoleonic Empire. The course also considers changing conceptions of citizenship during the period, from subjects under monarchical rule to citizens of rapidly changing revolutionary and post-revolutionary governments.
