History M.A.: Sample Plan

Each student will move through the requirements of the MA in their own individual way, based upon their field, preparation, language or other professional skill training necessary, and advice of Advisor. The following offers only one possible trajectory under semesters (a non-thesis option), and one that moves the student through the MA as quickly as is possible (that is, by the end of the Autumn quarter of the student’s second year). Other students might take more time as needed. For example, a student might take a full two years if they are taking language classes for a field-specific language proficiency.
