Christos Fotoglidis is a PhD student in Modern European History in the Department of History at The Ohio State University. His research interests primarily centered on authoritarian regimes and dictatorships, nationalism and violence, social movements and youth, political ideologies, everyday life, and transnational history in Greece, the Balkans, and the Mediterranean region.
Originally from Neo Kordelio, Thessaloniki, Christos earned his undergraduate degree in History and Archaeology. He subsequently obtained a Master’s in Political Science, specializing in Political History, War, and Strategic Studies. His Master’s research and thesis examined the collective actions and social movements of university students in Greece from 1950 until the onset of the military dictatorship (1967).
Christos is a member of the editorial board of the academic journal 20th Century: Historical, Social and Political Review and the production team of the history podcast Unfolding the Twentieth Century (in Greek).
