Daniel Kurtzahn is a first-year PhD student specializing in diplomatic history at The Ohio State University.  His interests include the intersection of U.S. domestic and foreign policy, the United States in the world, and the relationship between decolonization and the civil rights movement. His research focuses on the evolving relationship between the United States, Portugal, NATO, the United Nations, and various nonstate actors during the Portuguese Colonial War.
