Advisor: Prof. Peter Mansoor

Paul McAllister is a doctoral student studying military history under the guidance of Dr. Peter Mansoor. He received his BA in history from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina. His research focuses on how notions of race and citizenship developed alongside the United States' military power and diplomatic influence through the examination of African American military service before the integration of the United States Armed Forces in 1948.
