Congratulations to Jen Getson, History Dept. Senior Academic Program Services Specialist, on receiving the  2024-25 College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Staff Award! 
 

Since joining the Department of History, Jen has become an integral part of the team, assisting in the integration of history courses to the new GE. Jen oversees the scheduling and curriculum plans for both the Department of History and the Department of Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies. In the History Department, she handles the details of all scheduling and curriculum matters for the department. As the department's scheduling contact, she works with faculty on preparing the annual course teaching schedule, and then creates and monitors the schedule throughout the academic year. She also serves as a point of contact for History lecturers. As the department liaison with ASC Curriculum, she prepares and monitors all Curriculum submissions, including new course requests, General Education (GE) submissions, Distance Learning approvals, and new/revised programs.
