New Art Installation Focuses on Lives Lost

To bring awareness to the often invisible names of Black men and women who have been victimized by police violence, a new art exhibit in Dulles 168 lists the names of nearly 200 Black Americans who recently died in acts of police brutality. It also features a heart made of yellow butterflies. Each butterfly is inscribed with a name of someone lost. The art installation was created by Rhonda Maynard, with help from Professors Stephanie Shaw and Scott Levi. A big thank you goes out to Ms. Maynard for sharing her artistic vision in this way.
