Recently, Professor Theodora Dragostinova coedited a thematic cluster for the flagship journal, Slavic Review, on the topic “Beyond the Iron Curtain: Eastern Europe and the Global Cold War” (with Malgorzata Fidelis, University of Illinois-Chicago). The cluster engages the complicated dynamics between the Second and the Third Worlds through four case-studies focused on Polish economists in India; Albanian film-makers in Yugoslavia, the Soviet Union, and China; Polish Catholic intellectuals in the western hemisphere; and Bulgarian cultural representatives in India and Mexico.
