Establishment of Donald G. and Mary A. Dunn Chair in Military History

In 1945, Donald Dunn was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving with the 10th Mountain Division during World War II. It’s not something that Dunn talks about, without prompting, but he does wear a Silver Star pin on his lapel.
