Kari fosters student success by implementing proactive strategies that help students stay on track to fulfill their educational goals. She advises students on university policy and procedures, program and degree requirements, and related academic matters. Kari assists in student orientation and teaches both the freshman survey and History Career Development courses. She updates program materials, recommends and helps implement course improvements, and acquires information for students on a number of topics including: academic, career, financial, psychological, and other resources as needed. She assists with graduation events/activities, including commencement rehearsal and line-up. Beginning Autumn 2025, Kari also serves as the designated Pre-Law Advisor for history major students.
